MIE and English Speaking!
Many people consider English speaking a huge obstacle, especially those who are past some certain age (teenage years), which is taking a narrow view, since age is not a determining factor in learning a language. The key to learning a language is to find the right approach to learning speaking because this skill is of a higher sensitivity compared to others (listening, writing and reading). Other skills can be accomplished through traditional methods to some extent, but when it comes to speaking many people find it utterly challenging to go through these old methods(especially when the person is bound by limited time). In this case, learning through traditional methods like grammatical structure, memorizing vocabulary and the likes is almost impossible. For other skills you have some time to think about the topic beforehand and come up with something, but about speaking there is no time to think and you should speak the words the moment they come to your mind. So we should learn speaking in a way in which we can speak it unconsciously and without thinking about the grammatical structure (just like their mother tongue).
In Malekpour Institute of Elites, we have faced many people who had this problem, especially those who intended to immigrate, and due to limited time English speaking was a great obstacle for them. So we decided to come up with a method through which one can learn English speaking fluently and in the shortest possible way. Therefore, we studied many different methods and approaches and it was proven through numerous different experiences that the best way for learning English speaking is listening and repeating sentences continually and for many times. In this approach, each grammar point is repeated again and again and you learn speaking unconsciously and there is no need to think about the grammar anymore. Another approach for learning English is mini-stories which are designed according to the learner’s level of English. Each of these mini-stories focuses on one grammatical structure or tense. After the stories we have questions. In this part, several questions are asked on each sentence of the story and the answer should be provided fully and immediately after the question is asked. Through this approach, the intended grammar is engraved unconsciously in the learner’s mind and, like learner’s first language, will never be forgotten.
And for learning vocabulary, the best way is to learn the phrases and sentences not words individually. It is through this way that the word becomes active and practical in the mind and you can use it. For instance, by merely knowing the meaning of the word “decision” you cannot use it properly and we should learn the phrase which is “make a decision”. So we should repeat and memorize “make a decision” not “decision”.
Some people think that this method may be a little boring and mind cannot concentrate properly after some minutes or hours of practice. We should not forget that brain is just like the other muscles of the body and just like physical exercise, we should provide mind with some practices as well. It means each time we should try to extend the time of our practices (even if it is not considerable). So we can start with minutes and reach long hours.
The abovementioned approach was best-seller in over 25 countries and was known for being highly efficient. In MIE we have had some studies and researches on this method and with the changes we made to it, we have tried to make it even more compatible to those who are not in touch with English language directly (those who are not living in an English speaking countries and do not have any interactions with native speakers)
